Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Scoped, the app that turns a tradesperson’s spoken job notes into a structured, sendable quote. By creating an account, you agree to them.
§ 01
The service
Scoped lets a tradesperson record a voice note describing a job on site, automatically turns it into a structured draft quote (customer details, line items, pricing), and lets them review, edit, and send it as a branded PDF. It can also push an accepted quote to a connected Xero account as a draft invoice.
Scoped is built for business use by tradespeople — plumbers, electricians, builders, and similar trades running their own business — not for consumers buying goods or services for personal use. If you’re a tradesperson’s customer receiving a quote, these terms don’t apply to you directly; the tradesperson who sent it is who you’re dealing with.
§ 02
Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep your business profile up to date.
- Each account is tied to one business — Scoped doesn’t currently support multiple staff logging into a shared business account, or one account managing several businesses.
- You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
- You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your country to create an account.
§ 03
Subscriptions and billing
New accounts can create up to 5 quotes for free, with no card required. Beyond that, continuing to create quotes requires a paid subscription, currently £19.99 per month for unlimited quotes.
Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, using the payment method you already have on file with them. We never see or handle your card details. Billing is monthly in advance and renews automatically each month until you cancel; the store charges you at purchase and on each renewal. We use RevenueCat to keep track of your subscription status across both stores.
There is no separate free-trial period once you’ve used your 5 free quotes — subscribing takes effect immediately. If a renewal payment fails, the store handles the retry attempts under its own rules; while your subscription is unpaid you fall back to the free-quote allowance (which will typically already be used up) until payment succeeds.
Prices may change in future. If the subscription price changes, we’ll tell you before it takes effect, and the store will ask you to confirm the new price where its rules require it.
§ 04
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time by managing your subscription in the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android). Cancelling takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep full access through the period you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again after that.
Because access continues to the end of the paid period, we don’t offer refunds for the unused portion of a billing period — cancelling simply stops the next renewal. Refund requests for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us using the details in Section 13 and we’ll help where we can.
§ 05
Acceptable use
Scoped uses AI to draft quotes from your voice notes — it’s a starting point for you to review, not a guarantee of accurate pricing. You’re responsible for checking every quote before you send it — quantities, rates, tax, and totals — and for the accuracy of anything you send to your customers under your business’s name.
You agree not to use Scoped:
- For any unlawful purpose, or to send fraudulent or misleading quotes.
- To attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other accounts.
- To upload content you don’t have the right to use, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
§ 06
Content and data ownership
You own your business data — your business profile, price lists, voice recordings, photos, customer records, and quotes. Using Scoped, you grant us the licence needed to store and process that data in order to provide the service (transcribing, structuring, generating PDFs, and so on), as described in our Privacy Policy. We don’t claim ownership over your content, and we don’t use it to train AI models or sell it to third parties.
§ 07
Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Doing so cancels any active subscription, and permanently deletes your business profile and every quote, customer record, voice recording, and photo associated with it. This can’t be undone once confirmed, and there’s no recovery period afterward. See Delete your account or data for full details, including how to do it if you no longer have the app.
§ 08
Suspension and termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms (including the acceptable use rules in Section 5), or if your subscription payment remains unresolved. Where reasonably possible, we’ll try to let you know first. You can also stop using Scoped and delete your account at any time as described in Section 7.
§ 09
Availability
Scoped is an early-stage service. We don’t guarantee the app, or any part of it (including voice transcription, AI structuring, or PDF generation), will be available uninterrupted or error-free. We’ll do our best to keep things running and to fix problems promptly, but we recommend keeping your own record of anything important (for example, downloading a quote PDF once sent) rather than relying on the app as your sole record.
§ 10
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scoped is provided “as is,” and we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost business) arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Where we are liable to you, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Scoped is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
§ 11
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
§ 12
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. If we make a material change, we’ll highlight it in the app rather than relying on you checking this page. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. Continuing to use Scoped after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
